SpeakHub Language School: Making English Learning More Practical and Accessible
By Muhammed Fahis | Founder, SpeakHub Language School
There is something I have come to believe through my journey in business and marketing: opportunities are not always limited by what a person knows. Sometimes, they are limited by how confidently that person can communicate what they know.
Think about someone who has the skills to do a job but struggles to express themselves during an interview. Someone who has valuable ideas but hesitates to share them in a meeting. Or someone who wants to travel, explore new opportunities, or connect with people but feels held back by their English-speaking ability.
These are everyday challenges faced by many people.
And they raise an important question: What if learning English became less about fear and more about practice?
That question is one of the ideas behind SpeakHub Language School.
The Idea Behind SpeakHub
I have always been interested in how skills, communication, and opportunities connect.
As a digital marketer and brand consultant, I understand how important it is to communicate ideas clearly. A good idea has value, but communicating that idea effectively helps other people understand it, connect with it, and act on it.
The same principle applies to individuals.
People may have the knowledge, talent, ambition, and willingness to grow. But when they struggle to communicate, they can find it harder to demonstrate their abilities in certain situations.
English is not the only way to communicate, and it does not determine a person’s intelligence. However, in many educational, professional, and social settings, English can be a useful skill.
I wanted to contribute to an environment where people could work on that skill with practical guidance and greater confidence.
That vision became part of the foundation of SpeakHub Language School.
English Is a Language, Not a Measure of Intelligence
One of the most important ideas I want SpeakHub to communicate is simple:
English is just a language. It is not a measure of your intelligence, worth, or potential.
Yet, many people feel embarrassed when they make mistakes while speaking English. Some avoid conversations because they are afraid of being judged. Others believe they have missed their chance because they did not learn the language when they were younger.
I believe these fears should not become permanent barriers to learning.
A person should be able to begin learning English at any age. They should be able to ask questions, practise conversations, make mistakes, and improve without feeling that every mistake is a failure.
Learning a language requires time, consistency, and practice. Confidence does not always come before speaking; often, it develops through the experience of speaking.
That is why the learning environment matters just as much as the learning material.
Why Practical Learning Matters
Knowing grammar rules and vocabulary is useful. But understanding English and using English in a real conversation are not the same experience. Someone might understand a sentence when reading it but struggle to respond when another person asks a question. A learner might know the correct grammar but hesitate because they are trying to construct a perfect sentence before speaking.
This is why I believe English learning should go beyond memorisation.
At SpeakHub, our approach focuses on practical communication and helping learners become more comfortable using English in real-life situations.
Our learning opportunities include:
Offline Spoken English classes for learners who prefer an in-person classroom environment.
Online Spoken English classes for learners who want to learn remotely.
Interactive practice that encourages learners to participate and express their thoughts.
Communication-focused learning that connects English with everyday conversations and professional situations.
The aim is not simply to help people learn more English. It is to help them practise using what they learn.
Who Is SpeakHub For?
I believe language learning should be relevant to people at different stages of life.
A student preparing for their first interview may need help introducing themselves and explaining their strengths.
A job seeker may want to answer interview questions with greater confidence.
A working professional may want to communicate more comfortably with colleagues or clients.
An adult learner may simply want to stop feeling nervous when speaking English in public.
Their circumstances may be different, but they share a common desire: to improve.
SpeakHub aims to provide a supportive learning environment where learners can work towards their communication goals through practice and guidance.
We do not believe that every learner begins at the same level. What matters is understanding where you are today and taking steps towards where you want to be.
Building SpeakHub in Nadapuram, Kerala
Choosing to build SpeakHub in Nadapuram is part of making this vision accessible to our local community while also creating opportunities for learners beyond our physical location through online classes.
The inauguration of SpeakHub Language School on 30 March 2026 marked an important milestone in this journey.
For me, building an educational brand is about more than establishing a physical space or offering a set of courses. It is about developing a clear purpose, creating a learning experience that reflects that purpose, and continuing to improve as we understand our learners better.
There is a responsibility that comes with working in education. Learners invest their time, effort, and expectations in the process. We must respect that investment by focusing on meaningful learning experiences rather than making unrealistic promises.
That is the standard I want us to keep working towards.
My Vision for SpeakHub
My vision is for SpeakHub to become a place where people feel encouraged to learn, practise, and grow.
I want learners to understand that they do not need to feel ashamed of their current English level. They do not need to wait until they are completely confident before beginning. And they do not need to believe that their opportunity to learn has passed.
There will always be room to improve a skill, develop a new habit, or become more comfortable expressing yourself.
As SpeakHub grows, I want us to keep focusing on practical learning, supportive mentoring, and communication that has a purpose beyond the classroom.
We will continue learning from our students, improving our approach, and building a school that reflects these values.
I know that meaningful progress takes time. The goal is to keep moving in the right direction.
A Message to Anyone Who Hesitates to Learn English
If you have ever avoided an interview, stayed silent in a conversation, or held back an idea because you were worried about your English, I want you to remember something.
You are not defined by the sentences you struggle to speak today.
You can begin with simple words. You can practise one conversation at a time. You can make mistakes and learn from them.
You do not have to compete with someone who has been speaking English for years. Your journey is your own.
You are not too late. You are simply at the beginning of your next learning opportunity.
That is the belief I want to carry forward through SpeakHub Language School.
Because, in the end, language learning should help people express who they are, communicate what they know, and feel more prepared to pursue the opportunities that matter to them.
